LOVE GOD. LOVE OTHERS.
“And now these three remain: faith, hope and LOVE. But the greatest of these is LOVE.”
1 Corinthians 13:13
About US
At the heart of everything we do is one simple truth: Love God. Love Others. These words shape our worship, guide our mission, and reflect the very heartbeat of our church family. We believe that real transformation begins in the presence of God when we come together to worship, pray, and grow in His Word. Our church exists to be a place where people encounter God’s love in powerful, personal ways and are then moved to share that love beyond the walls of the building.
Inspired by 1 Corinthians 13:13, we believe that faith, hope, and love are the foundations of the Christian life. But as the verse reminds us, the greatest of these is love. Love is more than a feeling. It is compassion. It is action. It is showing up, serving others, and living in a way that reflects the heart of Jesus. Whether through worship, community outreach, small groups, or Sunday service, we are committed to being a church that leads with love. A love that is deep, authentic, and life-giving.
So, who are we? We are a community of believers learning to live out the Gospel every day. We are imperfect people chasing after a perfect Savior. We are passionate about creating a place where everyone, no matter their story, can feel seen, known, and loved. Because in the end, it is not about programs or performances. It is about people. And it is about love. The kind that changes lives forever.

Pastor Gary and Margie have brought fresh leadership and renewed vision to our church family as Gary stepped into the pastoral role, following in the footsteps of his father Dean. After time away, they felt called to return and guide our church into its next chapter of growth and ministry. Gary brings both the wisdom of his upbringing in the church and his own pastoral heart, while Margie complements his ministry with her own gifts and dedication to serving others. Together, they’ve helped clarify and focus our mission around two simple but powerful truths: Love God. Love Others. Under their leadership, our church is experiencing a season of spiritual renewal and community building, as they encourage each member to live out these core values in practical, meaningful ways. Gary and Margie’s commitment to authentic faith and genuine relationships has created an atmosphere where people can grow spiritually while building lasting connections with one another, carrying forward the legacy of love and service that has always defined our church family.
Pastor Ted and Linda Doolittle have been instrumental in molding and shaping our church into what it is today, playing a vital role in the spiritual growth of countless members over the years. As God-loving and spirit-driven people, they brought their deep faith and genuine care for others into every aspect of church life. Ted and Linda had a special gift for coming alongside people and helping them discover their own spiritual gifts and calling, always encouraging growth while providing steady guidance and support. Whether through teaching, mentoring, or simply being present during both joyful celebrations and difficult seasons, they helped create the strong spiritual foundation our church stands on today. Their faithful service and commitment to nurturing others in their faith journey has left a lasting impact that continues to influence our church family, inspiring us to follow their example of living out our faith with love, dedication, and genuine care for one another.

Dean and Annabelle Vander Veen started Calvary because they saw their community needed a place where people could come together and find faith, friendship, and purpose. With humble hearts and a simple vision, they wanted to create somewhere everyone would feel welcome and loved. Dean was our founder and spiritual guide, while Annabelle has always been there with her caring nature and wisdom, helping make our church feel like a true family. Over the years, they’ve built something special—not just a building, but a community where people can grow in their faith and support each other through life’s ups and downs. Their legacy lives on as we continue their mission of loving God, caring for our neighbors, and building genuine relationships that last.
